STEP 2: Basic Manual Training (BMT) + Creative Photography

Photography has never been so accessible since the introduction of the digital camera at the start of the new century. Learning photography as a hobby has become so easy as people can just change the settings on the camera and see the immediate results. What is easy actually makes it tougher to learn as the camera has taken most of the decision making away from the user but is the computer able to predict the shooting situation?

Join Wilson as he guides you along to take back the control from the camera instead ofrelying on the automatic modes on the camera. It is time to get creative, it is time to undersand how others can produce such beautiful pictures. Isn’t it time to treasure your memories by taking good photos of your history?  No DSLR? No problem; so long you have any cameras that have P, S, A, M modes including certain models of compact cameras.

The course is designed to finish in a month so as not to take too much time off your personal life.

It includes 4 theory classes and 2 practical classes that consists of:

  • Creative Use of Aperture
  • Creative Use of Shutter
  • Measuring Light to adjust for the right exposure
  • How the 4 pillars of exposure works to record your image
  • Composition techniques to gain more eye-share
  • Simple post-processing techniques using Photoshop or Free image tools

What’s more, participants are automatically being included as part of the larger photography enthusiast community in Singapore Photography Interest Network. The class may end but the education just began as there are outings, activities, local and overseas trips to finely hone your photography skills. You don’t learn from one, but from many who comes from different walks of life!
