SPIN & StockMoments Concludes First Round of Photo Competition

SPIN & StockMoments(tm) with WilzWorkz has completed the first round the photography competition on the subject of workers. Out of more than 200 entries we have selected the 10 ten photos to be shown at Song Brothers Retail Store over at Sim Lim Square (1 Rochor Canal Road, Sim Lim Square #01-59) over the weekend.

The main aim of working with a Stock Photography company to do this competition is to allow our SPIN members to hone their skills in photography and slowly get to know stock photography while enrolling for the competition. This way the efforts put into the photo will not just end at the completion of the competition but will continue to earn income for the photographers.

Out of the top 10 Ernani Guiang’s emerges as the top photo showing the office worker accessing her work file in front of the office building.  The contrast of colours immediately draws the viewer. The buildings distorts upwards also adds some dynamism into the whole composition. For his efforts he has won SGD200 first prize courtesy of Verztec Media

Second place goes to Philip Kung’s Shipyard workers peering at the photographer over their shoulder that is as candid and heartwarming with their smiles. With orange overalls it helps to capture the attention of the viewer too. An excellent capture that is worthy of the 2nd place prize of a SHURE SRH240A Headphones courtesy of Song Brothers.

Many thanks to all the participants for putting in the time and energy into joining this competition and we will be starting the second round in late May. Look out for more information in the coming weeks.
